How to KYC

Steps to KYC on Polygen and get instant access to all projects.

To provide our services in a seamless fashion and to be compliant with regulations in force, some project are required to do Know Your Customer (“KYC’’) verification for all users who use our platform. This article is an overview of the steps required to complete your KYC process on Polygen.

Please note that you will only have to complete KYC if the project raise requires it. Once on our platform, the KYC process has two components — ID upload and ‘liveness’ which is processed by Synaps.

By completing KYC, you’ll automatically be verified to take part in future raises.

Below, you will find the steps to complete KYC on our site.

Step 1: Go to our website and look for the “Launch App” button on the top right corner or simply go to app.polygen.io.

Step 2: Connect your MetaMask Wallet

NB: If you’re having issues with MetaMask being recognized in your browser. Switch off any pop-up blockers and refresh your page. If the problem persists, please message us in our Telegram chat or email [e-mail].

To connect MetaMask click: “Connect Wallet” and connect to the Polygon (Matic) Network.

If you don’t have Polygon ( Matic) Network already, follow these instructions:

1. Navigate to Settings->Network. 2. Click “ Add network” 3. Key in the relevant details:

• ​Network Name: Matic Mainnet

• New RPC URL: https://rpc-mainnet.maticvigil.com/

• ChainID: 137

• Symbol: MATIC

• Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.matic.network/

Once you’re on Polygon (Matic) Network, you can start verification.

Step 3: Start KYC verification

Step 4: Do KYC

1. Liveness

You can do the liveness check either on your phone by scanning the QR code provided or you can copy the URL link given below the qr code to your browser window and complete the process on your desktop browser.

NB: Please also ensure to grant required permissions on your browser to access your camera.

2. Identity document

For the next step, please upload one of the following ID documents:

• Passport

• National ID

• Drivers license

• Residence permit

You can upload it directly from your computer or scan and upload via your smartphone.

Once you have completed both, your screen should look like this:

Step 5: Click on Submit session

Step 6: Pay the gas fees and click on confirm when prompted.

NB: If you have no MATIC to pay gas fees, visit matic.supply, a free faucet, giving you enough MATIC to cover KYC gas fees.

Step 7: KYC Submitted!

You’re done! Normally it takes 24 to 48 hours to verify an account. If there are any problems, we will let you know. In case you don’t see any update on your KYC application after 48 hours, please contact [e-mail] for assistance.
